Where are London located?

The city of London is approximately a 2 hour drive west of the city of Toronto, or a 2 hour drive east of the city of Detroit. The University of Western Ontario is located in the north-central part of London.


Flying into London

You can catch a connecting flight from Toronto to London's airport. From the London Airport you can catch a taxi (Yellow London Taxi 519-657-1111, Aboutown Taxi 519-432-2222, or U-Need-A-Cab) to London's downtown/university area. Travelling to London by Bus

From Toronto's Pearson International Airport and Detroit Airbus:
A less expensive alternative to flying directly into the London airport would be to take an airport bus service from Toronto to London. This service is provided by two companies in London: RobertQ and Aboutown Airbus. Both airbus companies also serve the Detroit Metropolitan Airport.  A one way ticket from Toronto to London on the RobertQ airbus costs approximately CAD $53.21for students (you must have proof of student status - a letter of acceptance or a student card). A one way ticket from Toronto to London on the Aboutown airbus costs approximately CAD $50.93 for students. (You must have proof of student status - a letter of acceptance or a student card). Reservations are required.You don't have to make reservations ahead of time, but they do recommend it. At the Toronto airport, RobertQ and Aboutown Airbuses can be found in terminals 1 and 3 at the ground transportation desk. In terminal 2, which is the International terminal, you can find a RobertQ desk outside of the area where you pick up your luggage.

If you are INSIDE the city of Toronto and want to get to London (NOT recommended for people at Toronto's airport), you can take a Greyhound bus. A one-way ticket from Toronto to London on the Greyhound bus costs approximately CAD$25.00 (student rate). Greyhound Buses also depart from many other cities in Canada and the United States. No reservations are needed. Tickets may be bought the same day from any Greyhound bus terminal.

Getting to London by Train

From downtown Toronto (NOT recommended if you are at the Toronto Airport):
If you are INSIDE the city of Toronto and want to get to London (NOT recommended for people at Toronto's airport), you can take the Via Rail Train. Student discounts are available with an ISIC (International Student Identity Card) card. Via Rail Trains also depart from many other cities in Canada. Getting to London by Car

From London International Airport: (Approximately 10 minutes)
When you drive out of London International Airport you are on Oxford Street. Follow Oxford Street to Adelaide Street. Turn right onto Adelaide Street. Turn left onto Windermere Road. Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre is just past the first traffic light on the left-hand side.

From Toronto: (Approximately 2 hours)
Hwy 401 West to London - take Veterans Memorial Parkway (formerly Airport Road). Exit the first London exit. Follow Veterans Memorial Parkway Road until it ends; turn left onto Huron Street. Follow Huron Street to Adelaide Street and turn right. Turn left onto Windermere Road. Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre is just past the first traffic light on the left-hand side.

From Windsor: (Approximately 2 hours)
Hwy 401 East to London - take Wellington Road North exit. Follow Wellington Road until it ends (through downtown). Turn left onto Pall Mall Street to Richmond Street, turn right. Follow Richmond Street to Windermere Road and turn right. Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre is just past the first traffic light on the right-hand side.

From Detroit: (Approximately 2 hours)
Hwy 401 East, exit Wellington Road. Turn left on Pal Mall Street, travel back one block. Turn right on Richmond Street to Windermere Road, turn right. Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre is on the right-hand side.
